Pepsi Trashes This Artificial Sweetener!
Diet Pepsi is as oxymoronic as deafening silence. How many obese customers does it take for the world to realize this? Diet Pepsi is not healthy. And surprisingly, one toxic ingredient is now being removed! Today, PepsiCo announced that they’re removing aspartame from their product line.
Thank goodness. In Over-The-Counter Natural Cures Expanded I wrote that a simple Organic Chem 101 lab highlighted the overt dangers of this artificial sweetener. Using a technique known as Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), I demonstrated how it’s converted to numerous toxins, namely methanol and formaldehyde.
Yummy. But, apparently it’s going into the corporate trash bin.
Did PepsiCo get a brain?
No. It’s not up to them. Consumers got a brain.
I’ve always said that today’s attack on consumer health isn’t the result of evil corporations. It’s the result of consumer stupidity – willful ignorance. But, a 5% drop in Diet Pepsi sales has signaled that the masses are slowly coming around…And Pepsi is freaking out.
Stop drinking crap, they stop selling you crap.
Seth Kaufman, Senior Vice President of Pepsi and Flavors Portfolio echoed this fact, saying “Diet cola drinkers in the U.S. told us they wanted aspartame-free Diet Pepsi and we’re delivering.”
Want better products? Keep demanding them by making smarter choices at the grocery store.
Pepsi consumers still have a lot of mental ground to cover, though. Aspartame was replaced with sucralose (Splenda) and acesulfame K. Thus, the nectar of man boobs and women’s lip foliage (due to soda’s ill effect on hormones) is still poisoning americans with every swallow.
Fortunately, there’s a much bigger intelligence growing in the natural food market as seen by the birth and growth of Zevia, an all natural soda that won’t accidentally kill you. Combine that with The 3-Step Sugar Detox and soda drinkers can divorce sugar and artificial sweetener, forever, with very little willpower.
