Controversial New Book Finally Goes to Press!

My son, Blair, was competing in the Kids Worlds North American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament. I had to be straight with him.

Held under the beaming, slanted walls of the Walter Pyramid at Long Beach State University, the atmosphere was thick with nervous energy – Parents screaming like hyenas on meth to encourage their kids.

His first major tournament, I wanted Blair to know what he was up against, without intimidating him.

“Blair, you need to be ready for a freight train. It’s coming, ok? But don’t worry. Your technique is the best. Do exactly as you’ve been taught, without hesitation. Move fast and strong, dude. You can win this.”

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is wrestling on steroids. You beat your opponent by tapping them out with a submission or scoring more points during the 3.5 minute match.

“Don’t forget to shake your opponent’s hand after you win!”

My job as his dad is to warn him about what’s ahead, while encouraging him.

That’s pretty much what I do as The People’s Chemist.

Since 2009, Over-The-Counter Natural Cures has been warning people about the perils of “following doctor’s orders.” At the same time, it has encouraged them to safely get off drugs so they can live a healthier, more active lifestyle.

In 2012, I set out to make an expanded version of this bestseller!

I put blood, sweat and years into a new, larger edition.

Then it was censored. Crucial parts were deleted. Wording changed.

I refused to release a diluted version of the book. I threw it in the trash.

In time, the publisher agreed to stop censoring it.

I sunk back into the pilots seat to get the expanded version off the ground, once again. Excited, I even started testing ads on Facebook to formulate an advertising strategy.

My ads were wildly successful. I beat out 95% of all other ads on the social media giant!

It didn’t last long.

To my surprise, Facebook banned me for life. All ads were blocked. No explanation offered.

Meanwhile, the publisher was dragging their feet on my final manuscript. Was it too controversial? Did they hate it?

I never got a response…

I threw the expanded edition in the trash, yet again. Then I drank a lot of wine. (Ah, it feels so good to not have to write another book, I lamented…)

Then, I thought about my kids.

What the f#ck are they going to do when they have a family? How will they know how to live young?

Will their kids, kids be swindled into believing another crappy rendition of Dr. Oz?

Would they be victims of Ebola hype or Mercola hype?

Would they be born as slaves to healthcare reform?

Would they be taxed and worked to death under the guise of having healthcare?

Who will warn them of the medical mafia that aims to enslave every man, woman and child?

Nobody.

So, like Blair at Worlds, I kept fighting. The publisher wanted more references for the research, then some more and finally, even more.

I gave them everything they needed to substantiate my research and to protect themselves from any lawsuits…

Thus, while you won’t see it advertised on Facebook, you will see a new, Over-The-Counter Natural Cures Expanded Edition coming out Dec. 5!

This is a huge victory for the people and big loss for Pharma and crappy vitamin hucksters.

It was mostly victory for Blair, too!

He heeded my warnings and encouragement.

He fought out of arm bars. He stacked his way out of triangle chokes. He sprawled to avoid takedowns. He charged in for double legs and had to counter his opponents with leg trips.

He never hesitated.

Enjoying every minute of the spotlight, he fought his way into finals! After a flurry of action in his last match, he came out short, 8-4.

He lost the fight, but not the battle.

For a day, he got to have the title of 2nd place in the BJJ Kids Worlds. Congrats Blair! You’re the man. I love you.
